Now that summer is here, there are tons to do in Colorado! I’m going to give you all the amazing places that are must-sees at least once in your lifetime. If you’re a person that likes being outdoors and going on adventures, then you’re in for a treat with my Colorado guide for the summer. Colorado Springs, Denver, and Vail are the three cities you have to pay a visit to!

Let’s start at Colorado Springs. At Colorado Springs, you will have a lot of sightseeing to do. With the endless choices between all of the parks, you will not run out of things to do or places to see. You can head to either Garden of the Gods, or Pikes Peak, or Seven Falls, even Red Rock Canyon, the list is endless here with the historic sites open to the public. Wear something comfortable and definitely have sunscreen on you and you’re set to explore the historic areas of Colorado Springs.

Next, heading off to Denver, the adventures await! Denver is known for its easy-going atmosphere. You can be in the city, but still feel relaxed enough to enjoy your time. If you’re in the mood for some fun in the sun all day long, you can head to Water World to cool off from the summer heat. If you’re an adrenaline-junky Elitch Gardens Theme Park is the perfect place for you! Hit the roller coasters and get an amazing view of the city while you’re at it. Afterward, you can head to El Five for one of the city’s best Mediterranean food and enjoy the view of Denver from their rooftop. Denver’s Cherry Creek State Park is a great place to spend time outdoors. You can go paddle boarding, take a swim or just enjoy the beautiful scenery. The park also has campgrounds, but you have to reserve your spot in advance. But, before you leave this amazing city, be sure to check out Larimer Square, one of Denver’s historic districts.

Last stop, Vail, Colorado. If you really love nature and the outdoors, Vail is the perfect place to be. Every season is beautiful in Vail, but there is nothing like the summer sunsets and activities here. If you want to relax, the lodges in Vail will make you feel like you are in paradise. Book a massage session and head to the spa for a day to forget about all your worries back at home. If you’re up for an adventure, Vail offers zip lining, hiking with llamas, rock climbing and much more! If you’re in luck, you might be able to catch a concert happening in town with delicious food and games for all ages. Ever seen a llama? If not, vail offers a one of a kind experience of hiking with llamas. They’re great hiking buddies! To end off your trip here, try hot-air ballooning to end off your summer trip with the gorgeous view of Vail from above.

With all three cities being so close to each other, a road trip is the best way to get away for the summer! You can start from Colorado Springs… then, head to Denver and end off your trip at Vail for a relaxing weekend.
