COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado — An argument led to several shots fired and two arrests overnight.

Colorado Springs police were called to the 2800 block of Woodland Hills Drive near E. Woodmen Road and N. Union Boulevard just after midnight for a disturbance. While officers were on their way, they received reports of several shots being fired because of the disturbance.

The investigation revealed that 2 suspects got into an argument with a group of teenagers near the pool at their apartment complex. That argument escalated according to police, where the two suspects brought out a pistol and a shotgun.

Officers say as the teenagers were leaving in their car, the suspects said they heard several shots being fired, where they believed the group was shooting at them. The suspects, in turn, fired shots back.

There was no immediate information whether there were any victims or not, according to police.

The two suspects who stayed at the scene were arrested facing charges for illegal discharge and prohibited use of a weapon. Their names are not being released by officers at this time.

The case is under investigation by the Police Department.
