Alpina has, in fact, given its take on the BMW 8-Series Gran Coupe for a slight update for the 2023MY. It will have glowing and colorful new details which reflect the changes that are seen on the recently upgraded 8-Series range.
Alpina B8 Grand Coupe Features
The Alpina B8 Grand Coupe, starting in March 2022, is going to be available for the purported BMW Iconic Glow kidney grille that lightly illuminates the perimeter of the grille. It does accentuate the front end of the car.
Lineup for 2023
In fact, the tuning house will add more colors to the lineup for 2023. Alpina Blue Metallic and Alpina Green are going to continue on and be offered as exclusive shades. Then, the company is going to add a variety of BMW and BMW Individual paint finishes to its range of offerings.
The B8 Gran Coupe is going to be powered by a tuned version of BMW’s 4.4-liter bi-turbo V8 engine. It was first unveiled in March 2021. The engine produces hp (621 PS/457 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. This is available from as low as 2,000 rpm.
The B8 Grand Coupe, from a standing start, is therefore capable of reaching 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.3 seconds. Also 124 mph (200 km/h) in 11.6 seconds. It can continue all the way to a top speed of 201 mph (324 km/h) if there is enough road ahead.
There are subtle exterior modifications that make it look a little better. Also, the front fascia does have big air intakes to cool the engine more. Also, around the back, in the meanwhile, it does get a black diffuser insert. Plus there is a rear spoiler lip to better master the air. Moreover, it does also has 21-inch 20-spoke Alpina Classic forged wheels. They are wrapped in Pirelli noise-canceling tires to make the ride in fact more luxurious.
